Clifford Brooks, Poet

Clifford Brooks was born in Athens, Georgia. His first collection of poetry, “The Draw of Broken Eyes & Whirling Metaphysics” was nominated for a Pulitzer and Georgia Author of the Year.  His second poetry collection, “Athena Departs: Gospel of a Man Apart,” was nominated for Georgia Author of the Year. A chapbook of verse, “Exiles of Eden,” serves as a bridge between his two, larger volumes. You can find all his titles at: www.leafgardenpress.com.
 
Clifford is founder of the Southern Collective Experience which publishes The Blue Mountain Review.  He is also the man behind the NPR show, Dante’s Old South.
